J2128 Cornelius Thomas ESTEP, who was born 7 Mar 1845 in Kanawha Co., VA and died 9 Sep 1929 in Pigeon Creek, Kanawha Co., WV, was the son of Turner ESTEP and Jane MORGAN. Cornelius ESTEP, according to family lore, changed sides during the Civil War. After the war, he married on 8 Nov 1868 to Ona Francis TURNER, daughter of Jeffrey TURNER and Nancy MASON. Ona was born 26 Sep 1851 in Patrick Co., VA and died 23 Jul 1917 Pigeon Creek, WV. They were both buried on the family farm in Pigeon Creek. The couple had 12 children.

Mary Elizabeth SMITH JONES is the maternal grandmother of my wife. The pictures found here, were given to those who attended a family reunion a few years ago.
