S631  Richard M. J. ESTEP (Johnson) born c1843 in Tazewell Co VA, died 13 Jan 1912

in Pike Co. KY; maried Sarah CASEY at Lucinda MARSH's on 20 Apr 1890.  They

produced no children.

S632  Joseph ESTEP born c1845, died after 1910.  Married Susan (GRIFFITH) HYLTON

(divorced from James HYLTON).  Several of James HYLTON's children were raised

by this union and were referred to on pages 149 - 150 of the Estep Book.

S6321  Lorenzo D. ESTEP

S6322  James A. ESTEP

S6323  General G. ESTEP

These children show on the 1870 and 1880 Pike Co. KY census records.  I have no

evidence that any of these three children were alive in 1900.

S633  Margaret Ruth ESTEP born c1848, died c1892.  She married John A. SLOAN and

they had the following children:

S6332  William SLOAN

S6333  Roda Jane SLOAN

S6334  John A. SLOAN, Jr.

S6335  James SLOAN

S6336  Sarah SLOAN

S6337  Malinda SLOAN

All are mentioned as plaintiffs in the court actions mentioned above.  (The marriage

listed in the Estep Book that says Margaret Ruth was married to Marshall MULLINS

is erroneous.  I believe the marriage to Marshall MULLINS belongs to S69 James

ESTEP's daughter, Margaret "Peggy" ESTEP.  The location of the marriage was at

S69 James ESTEP's home.)

S634  William J. ESTEP born c1850 and died after 1899. Married 1st to S6-128 Mary

FRAZIER-ESTEP (this is speculation).  Married 2nd to Sarah TATE in Pike Co. KY

in 1899.  Known children by S6-128 Mary FRAZIER-ESTEP are:

S6342  Rachel ESTEP

S6343  Lindsey ESTEP

S6344  Dove ESTEP

Note: the statements pertaining to William J. ESTEP as Jack are wrong.  On page 149

of the Estep Book, the death certificate of Jack ESTEP is given under S634 William. 

The Jack Estep death certificate belongs to S636 James Shadrach ESTEP who should

be listed as Shadrack Mashack ESTEP, who went by the nickname of "Jack".

S636  Shadrack Mashack ESTEP (aka Jack) was born 22 Feb 1851, died 8 Dec 1911. 

He married Josephine McCOY, a daughter of Richard McCOY.  Josephine was born

c1855 in Pike Co KY, died 1926 in Buchanan Co VA.  Their known children are:

S6361  William ESTEP b 1878, died 1878

S6362  Lucinda ESTEP born 1879, married John C. McCOY-ESTEP, son of

S6-126 James A. McCOY-ESTEP and Rebecca Frances ESTEP, in 1895 in Pike

Co. KY.

S6363  John Cleveland ESTEP (my grandfather) married Roxie HALL, daughter of

Joseph HALL, in 1907 in Mingo Co. WV.

Note: The death record referred to on page 149 in which the informant is named as

Clive should read Cleve, my grandfather.

S6364  Mary Arveline ESTEP born 1892, died after 1920; married William

CHAMBERS.

S6365  Margaret ESTEP born 1896, died after 1920; married Anse LANE.

S637  Sarah ESTEP born c1856, apparently dead before 1870

S638  Mary R. ESTEP born 1860, death date unknown.  Married John THORP.  No

children.  She is referenced throughout the 1890's court proceedings involving disposition

of Uriah's property, but I have not found her in 1900 censuses.
