[Page 1] State of Virginia County of Buchanan SS on this 22 day of december A D one thousand eigh hundred & fifty eigh personally appeard before me a Justice of the peace within and for the county and State afore said Sarah Estep aged 58 years a resident of the county of Buchanan and State of Virginia who being duly sworn according to law declars that she is the onley legitimate heir of John Frazier Sr. who accordin to the best information was borned about A D 1762[?] and died in the county of Carter in the State of Tenessee in A D 1814 and was married to Haner Graham and shee died in tennesee in 1827[?] and shee has herd her fathr frequently sa that he John Frazier Sr. was in the Revolutionary War with Great Britain in the Battell of Brandywine and that Shee Recollects Destinkley of Seeing one of his thums off and he stated that it was shot off in the Battell and the Bullet went threw his hand and he said there was a silk hankerchief drawed threw the wound and to the best of hir Recoltion he was a Captian and got his Discharge when peace was made. [Page 2] We Sarah Hurley and William Hurley residents of Buchanan County in the State of Virginia upon our oaths declare that the foregoing declaration was signed and acknowledge by Sarah Estep in our presents and that from the generaly character of the appliants with whom we have been acquainted for many years we believe the statements are true and that she is the identical person that she recommends hirself to be. Know all men by these presents that I Sarah Estep of the State of Virginia County of Buchanan hereby make and constitute and appoint Edward Collins my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name to demand and receive from the department of the interior of the United Stats the certificate for a pension and land warrant

May 1805. Indenture of William Frazier by John Frazier to Nathan Hendrix[?] to learn agriculture til William shall arrive at 21. 2nd Monday August 1805.
