W511 John ESTEP, son of John and Elizabeth (FISHER) ESTEP, was born about 1812 in MD.   He married Mary Ann DAUGHERTY in MD between 1830 and 1836.  Mary Ann was born about 1812 in MD.  Their first three children were born in MD.

About 1842, John, Mary Ann and their young children traveled to OH where his parents were already living.  Four more children were born in OH.

In 1850 the family moved to MI and settled in Sebewa Township, Ionia Co. where their last four children were born.

Mary Ann (DAUGHERTY) ESTEP died between 1864 and 1870 and her burial location has not yet been found.  John ESTEP died 29 Dec 1884 and is buried in Portland City Cemetery, Portland, MI.  The Portland City clerk confirmed that John was buried in the cemetery but did not have a death date.  The diary of his nephew Charles A.
